The Ctenosaur or black iguana and lives along the Pacific Coastline of Costa Rica.  They can be found on the ground or in trees and feed on fruit and flowers.  They are usually a tan, or olive-brown in color with dark cross-wise bands and they camouflage very well with their surroundings.  The males are larger than females and have a crest along their head, neck and back.
