Egyptian Geese are one of the many species of birds that inhabit Lake Nakuru, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes.  It lies to the south of Nakuru, a well established town in Central Kenya, and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park.  The lake's abundance of algae also attracts the vast quantity of pink flamingos that line the shore, attracting tourists from around the world. Warthogs, baboons, and other large mammals also flourish in this vibrant area.
