The Villa Gallici Deciani is situated a few kilometres from Udine, near the border with Austria and Slovenia. It was built around the end of the 17th century over the ruins of a previous, late medieval, castle. The architectural is imposing and neo-classical in style and the inside of the Villa is decorated with typical Venetian stuccoes and marble mosaic floors. The property has been in the family of the Counts Deciani since the late 19th century when Antonino Deciani, the current owner's grandfather, married the last heir of the Gallici family. The Villa is set in vast and beautiful grounds, with charming old farm outbuildings, and commands spectacular views over the Alps.
